Violet City is the home to; the first gym of Johto, the Flying gym, the Trainer School and the Sprout tower
The Trainer school has nothing interesting except for a few battles with the students, they have pokemon of around level 50. Surfing above the Trainer School gives you a Leaf Stone.
Sprout tower is the home of a lot of Bellsprout, the trainers inside only have lvl 50-53 Bellsprout(except for one optional battle who has a Noctowl). You are able to teach your pokemon bounce here after the story event with Pius here. The Miracle Seed is behind the wall on the first floor after going up the first set of stairs.
